Thursday's Check In - Session One

Session One - DEDICATE IT ALL TO GOD

Review The "Oikonomia Principle" and explain it back in your own words to yourself and to at least one other person.   What is The "Oikonomia Principle?"  The "Oikonomia Principle" is this: 

All that we are and all that we have belongs to God. 

He has temporarily entrusted it to us to manage according to his wishes.

Putting It Into Practice:

Although we don't meet this upcoming Sunday (Communion Sunday), begin your assignments for Session One.

1. Start filling out a Personal Financial Profile. See pages 21 and 22 for further explanation. 

2. Ask God to prepare you for relinquishing control of all you have to him.  Page 27 walks us through this process to serve as a tangible reminder of this partnership we're about to enter into with God.   As you fill it out---DO NOT SIGN IT YET!!!

3. Continue to put your receipts into your Receipt Envelope

4. Continue to track your expenses over the next two (2) weeks!

5. Leave a comment of encouragement, a question (about the Personal Financial Profile or Quit Claim Deed), a testimony, or a scripture you'd like to share with the class or your group.

6.  Call someone from your group and pray with them this week.
