Thursday's Check In-Session 1 Part 2

Use today's Check in to call someone in your Group
either to check in on their progress, or to just say,
"hello, I'm thinking about you and will pray for you if you so desire."
If they're not home, leave them a message!
If you want to use the blog comment section to leave them a message do so
however, for privacy and/or group discretion use first names or nicknames only.
That's it for today's Thursday's Check-In.

God Bless-

Facilitator's Note:
1. Let the Lord guide you in your homework assignments.  Fill in the blanks from Session One, go back and read it aloud.  Share what you are learning concerning stewardship with someone.
2. Wait on the Lord to send you out as a financial or resource blessing to someone else in the upcoming days --- March is making and marking a transition for all those in the class whether you realize it or not.  Not everything is going to be evident all at once.  Open your spiritual eyes to the change God is doing in you.  Open your hearts and be thankful for the position of "Zion" he's calling you into.  If in doubt about it -- Pray!  If in need of direction -- Pray!  If in need of clarity -- Pray!   If in need of wisdom -- Pray!
3. Don't get weary.  If after praying, you need further guidance or life spoken over you as you move into Financial Stewardship  -- Shepard/sheep Counseling from our very own Pastor AK Thrower and First Lady are phone calls away (appointments of course).
4. See everyone Sunday for class!

  1. Nancy-As a married woman, it can be hard not to trust our husband's decisions sometimes; however, if you press into God's peace, you'll see how the Lord will guide him even if mistakes are made. Allow him the "grace" opportunity to both succeed and fall--be there to encourage him and to draw strength from him. Move together in Unity. Move together in Peace!

  3. Sis Jo, what seems like a mountain concerning your finances will be your mole-hill testimony! Stay obediant to the Lord's Word because you LOVE God--and you will eat the good of the land.

  4. Miss TK-OoOo, Limited income "now" used for God's glory and to represent the Kingdom will be the tool God uses to teach others about His divine love and favor. Keep listening to, accepting, and applying Godly counsel to your life one day at a time and see won't He do it for His name sake!

  7. This is quite momentous, my first time blogging ever! So here it goes: From the start I was suspicious of God putting the desire in me to attend this class and now I know why-He's calling me into a more intimate relationship with Him. I think He's saying to all of us "Get in, fasten your seatbelts, and hold on 'cause it's gonna be a bumpy ride! But don't trip 'cause I'm behind the steering wheel!"

  8. What do I know about financial blessings? One, tithing works and God is faithful to His promises. Two, He blesses us to be a blessing so the more I give, the more I receive (I'm not emphasizing giving to receive, but instead the principle of sowing and reaping. And three, we serve a God whose name means "more than enough". Getting paid once a month and NEVER being without is a testimony that God is a provider! Can I get an AMEN?!:)

  10. Princess C, that's the testimonial-energy God's desiring you to use during the "letting go of your challenge" season. That's the lens He wants your eyes to look through as you move through new areas of stewardshipping. So Be it Princess C-So Bet IT!

  11. And speaking of testimonies, I was truly blessed and honored to be in the presence of such transparency that the married couple displayed on yester-diddy. I admit I was a little bummed in the beginning that singles and married folks were in the same class because our perspectives are so different, but I've come to realize that I get to glean from all of you who have gone or are about to go on the matrimonial journey and soak up all the wise counsel that you offer. My prayer is that when that season comes I will remember all that I have learned and put it into practice. God bless married folks, your blunt honesty is appreciated :)

  13. I'd love to share a testamony with my stewardship family...
I’ve been “Praising Him In Advance” for the past year for increase and promotion on the job, so I could take better care of my family. By faith, I knew God had it all worked out for me even though outside circumstances looked different for a longtime. I KNEW God had not forgotten me. I applied for a position with a company in December, around the same time my current job was cutting several jobs in my office; even my manager’s job was eliminated last month. stress-levels and staff anxiety is at an all-time high. But not in my lil’ corner of the office, I know God has His children’s back. The other job called Match 2nd and offered me a wonderful position they recreated just for me based on my knowledge and skills and the salary that went along with it was so much more than I even asked for. I accepted and my last day with my current job was supposed to be today. BUT…the Director's wanted me to stay so bad that they worked for a week to develop a counter-offer that they hoped I would accept. I waited until the very last moment to make my decision – I needed all that time to pray and get a peace about what God wanted me to do. Then on Friday, they made me a fantastic offer and when I read it, felt God’s peace and said yes. Praise God! The Funny thing is, I knew the devil was mad – because, the moment I said yes, the little sore throat I had, turned into full blown flu and I had to leave work and fought it all weekend. I praise God for my prayer-warrior Fiancé that laid healing hands on me – there was no way I should have been feeling this better this soon – praise God! Now with this promotion, I can really start blessing the people that God places on my heart without feeling like I never have enough. Thank you Lord!

  14. Jewel,

Jesus said..."If you only have faith in God-this is the absolute truth--you can say...All that is requires is that you really believe and have no doubt! Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it; it's yours! Mark 11: 22/23/24

Yes, when it lines up with the will (the heart) of God, all you have to do is ask for it and then EXPECT it (expect = no doubt). Once you believe, it's just a matter of resting in calm, peace and PRAISE!

I think this calls for a TESTIMONY SECTION -- Rewrite and share your TESTIMONY - There will be a TESIMONY PAGE up tomorrow-Wednesday.

  15. Thanks for clearing up that "strackle" situation cause that would have been on my to do list. 1. make groceries 2. give a stranger a hug 3. Ask Proverb 3:6 what the heck "Strackle" means...

I receive peace and his love so that I can give it Amen!
